Director, Data & AI Strategy
As Director, Data & AI Strategy, you will lead the organisation’s approach to data and AI across Australia. You will identify where data and AI can create business value, shape strategic priorities, and partner with senior leaders to deliver practical, scalable initiatives across the business.

Lead the development of the organisation’s data and AI strategy in line with business priorities.

Drive execution
Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans.
Lead enterprise initiatives
Oversee major data and AI programs to ensure strong delivery and measurable impact.
Build capability
Strengthen organisational capability in data and AI through leadership, support, and team development.
Support governance
Help establish clear standards and frameworks for effective and responsible use of data and AI.

Relevant leadership experience
Significant experience in data, AI, analytics, or digital transformation leadership roles.
Strong domain expertise
Deep capability in one or more areas such as data platforms, analytics, machine learning, or AI applications.
Strategic and commercial mindset
Able to connect technical capability to business value and strategic priorities.
Transformation experience
Track record of leading complex, enterprise-wide initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Stakeholder leadership
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and work across multiple functions.
People leadership
Experience building capability, developing talent, and leading high-performing teams.
Ideally
- Experience in complex or enterprise environments.
- Exposure to sectors such as financial services, retail, insurance, wealth, or public sector.
- Familiarity with governance and change considerations linked to AI adoption.
