Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the executive leadership team, the Chief Technology Officer will own the technology strategy and delivery across enterprise systems, digital platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and AI. This role will suit a commercially minded, hands‑on technology leader who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, operationally complex environment.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the end‑to‑end technology strategy, ensuring it supports business growth, operational excellence and outstanding customer experience.
  • Oversee core platforms and applications across operations, production, sales, customer, finance and people, ensuring they are secure, reliable and scalable.
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to translate business priorities into clear technology roadmaps and investment plans.
  • Build and lead the organisation’s AI agenda, identifying and delivering practical use cases that enhance planning, workflow efficiency, decision support and client experience.
  • Drive the uplift of digital capability, systems integration, automation and service delivery across a multi‑site national footprint.
  • Lead cybersecurity, governance, risk management and business continuity for the technology environment.
  • Develop, mentor and retain a high‑performing technology team, while managing key vendors and delivery partners.
  • Balance strategic transformation with hands‑on involvement in key programs and initiatives.
What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g. CTO, Head of Technology, Head of Engineering) within complex, service‑led or operational environments such as events, production, logistics, rental, multi‑site or similar.
  • Strong track record leading enterprise systems, infrastructure, digital platforms and cybersecurity in a fast‑moving business.
  • Experience modernising technology environments, integrating disparate systems and delivering stable, scalable platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing AI and automation opportunities that deliver tangible business and customer outcomes.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to link technology strategy and investment to revenue, margin, service and risk outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level while staying close to the operation.
  • A pragmatic, down‑to‑earth style, with comfort operating in an environment where no two days look the same.
